The modern furniture destination and California interior designer team up for #oneroomchallenge!

Katrina Blair is something of a treasure. A designer. A wife. A mother. An entrepreneur. A lifestyle maven. But wearing many hats is par for the course for this design aficionado.

Katrina's style is tranquil, warm and quintessentially Northern California (the place she calls home!). And that distinctive sensibility is evident in what she’s coined California Modern Casual, a modern motif with classic notes, colorful decorative accents and curated, timeless furniture in neutral tones.

The best thing about Katrina’s design vision? It’s perfect for small spaces. From streamlined kitchens to calming living spaces to beautiful bedroom ideas, Katrina’s tips and tricks are a revelation. We’re here for clean kitchen subway tile, classic swing-arm vanity mirrors and plant-stand bar carts!

As a design team, Scandinavian Designs and Katrina Blair make perfect sense. So, we were beyond excited to be her Design Collaborator for this year’s One Room Challenge! Year after year, this event brings together interior designers from across the country. Their challenge? Transform one space—beautifully. In the ORC’s sixteen seasons, more than 3,400 rooms have been reimagined.

It’s been six incredible weeks for Katrina, from concepting to planning to delivery to design. For her master bedroom refresh, Katrina picked the following pieces from Scandinavian Designs:

As Katrina has handled every detail big and small—everything from crown molding installation and hanging & hemming the drapes to painting and installing hardware—we’ve been amazed to see how she’s integrated mid-century and Scandi-inspired pieces into her Northern Californian palette. Her design journey is a must-read!

Check out the final reveal of Katrina’s new master bedroom for the #oneroomchallenge on her blog, here.

Congratulations and a job well done, Katrina!
